ACCESSIBILITY

We want everyone to be able to use this site, neon and all. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA.

What we've done

• Body text is off-white on near-black purple, with high contrast. Neon colors are used for accents, not for reading.
• Every page has a "Skip to content" link and works with a keyboard alone.
• Images have text descriptions; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
• If your device asks for reduced motion, the background video, moving grid and other animations stop.
• The background video has no sound and never plays with sound.
• Text resizes with your browser settings and the layout works on small phone screens.

Known gaps

• The MicroVote demo (an unscientific demo of unofficial, advisory polls) is a separate app, and hasn't had a full accessibility review yet.
• Episode videos are hosted on YouTube; captions depend on the YouTube upload.
